Igor Babuschkin co-founded xAI with Elon Musk in 2023 and previously worked as a research engineer at Google DeepMind and OpenAI. In August 2025 he left day-to-day work at xAI to launch Babuschkin Ventures, focused on AI safety research and startups in AI and agentic systems.123
