- Execute hands-on characterization, engineering experiments, and learning plans to evaluate equipment capability, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Analyze equipment and process data to identify improvement opportunities, drive design learning, and mitigate technical risk.
- Develop, evaluate, and implement hardware modifications to improve equipment performance, reliability, maintainability, and cost of ownership.
- Support equipment build, installation, startup, qualification, and technology transfer activities at development and manufacturing sites.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment issues through systematic root cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers, facilities, process engineering, manufacturing, and global development teams to achieve project objectives.
- Manage engineering change activities including design reviews, validation plans, risk assessments, and implementation tracking.
- Develop equipment roadmaps and Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs) required to advance toolsets through EMI maturity levels and prepare them for HVM transfer.
- Drive reliability, uptime, and productivity improvements through structured engineering methodologies and hands-on technical execution.
Other Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including equipment specifications, engineering reports, lessons learned, qualification reports, and development roadmaps.
- Present project progress, technical findings, and recommendations to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support supplier evaluations, design reviews, factory acceptance testing, and onsite equipment commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with Micron safety, environmental, contamination control, and cleanroom requirements.
- Participate in global development projects and support technology deployment across multiple manufacturing sites.
AI Responsibilities
- Integrate AI-assisted tools and data-driven methods to improve engineering efficiency, accelerate problem-solving, and enhance decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation for equipment monitoring, data analysis, predictive maintenance, and workflow optimization.
